How to use the days calculator
- Days since a date: set the start date to the day something happened and tap “End today”.
- Days until a date: tap “Start today” and set the end date to your event.
- Days between two dates: enter any start and end date. Turn on “Include the end date” if both days should count, such as for a hotel stay or a project schedule.
How the days are counted
The calculator counts whole calendar days in your own time zone, so daylight saving changes never add or remove a day. The start date isn’t counted unless you include the end date as well, which matches how most people count, for example the number of days since a birthday or until a vacation.
Months and years are calendar months and years, not 30- or 365-day blocks. Weekdays are Monday to Friday and do not exclude public holidays.

Frequently asked questions
How do you calculate the number of days since a date?
The calculator counts the calendar days from the start date to the end date. The start date is not counted, so from Monday to Tuesday is 1 day. Turn on “Include the end date” to count both days.
Does the calculator account for leap years?
Yes. It uses the real calendar, so February 29 in leap years and the different lengths of each month are always included.
What counts as a weekday?
Weekdays are Monday through Friday. Public holidays are not removed, so the weekday total is a count of working days before any holidays you take off.
Can I keep counting automatically?
